CATHY TAYLOR

The deepest joy life can offer is being able to stand, if only mentally, where on the one hand the sky meets the sea in the West, and on the other hand the sky meets a horizon of native plants in the East.

If condensing fascinating concepts into visual form results in a durable object, Cathy believes it should be well-made, enjoyable and recyclable or compostable.

Cathy’s Own Work

Cathy’s own work often involves fibre or found objects in some way. In the early 2000’s painting and fabric printing predominate, but though techniques change, expressing her love of Western Australian natural ecosystems is always at the core.

The deepest joy life can offer is being able to stand, if only mentally, where on the one hand the sky meets the sea in the West, and on the other hand the sky meets a horizon of native plants in the East.

If condensing fascinating concepts into visual form results in a durable object, Cathy believes it should be well-made, enjoyable, and recyclable -or compostable.
